I don’t know who needs to hear this, but let me again…shout it from the rooftop:

Islam and Muslims are NOT… your ‘enemy’.

The ‘left-wing-liberal-media’…is not your enemy nor are ‘communist and democratic socialist’ or the LGBQT+ community. And if you find yourself trusting in some president, or any political party for that matter…to ‘protect’ you from an enemy who wants to ‘destroy’ you and your family/country…your state of deception is showing in a bad way.

I’m speaking now to those who claim or profess to be ‘believers’ or followers of Jesus. The Apostle Paul could not have been more explicit when he wrote to inform us that our conflict or struggle is NOT…with flesh and blood…rather with ‘spiritual forces of darkness and wickedness’ (Eph. 6:12). Peter tells us rather plainly who our ‘enemy’ is and calls him out as the ‘devil who goes about like a roaring lion seeking to devour’ (1 Pet. 5:8). That would be the same ‘devil’ whom Paul said we are to ‘give him no place or foothold’ (Eph. 4:27). Why do you think that is? Jesus Himself tells us what this known ‘thief’ comes to do: steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10)

And before you jump up from your pew and want to remind me that you know all about the devil and how he’s using ‘communists, queers, and Muslims to destroy our country’….let me remind you that that same ‘devil’ uses a lot of folks who are ‘dressed like sheep’ (Matt. 7:15). In fact I’d be more concerned about them than I would be about someone who doesn’t look or think like you do on the surface. And sooner or later, there’s a whole lot of folks who would do well to stop trusting in the ‘armor of Saul’ (1 Sam. 17) and fully commit their hearts and trust in Jesus alone.

It was God who emphatically stated that ‘HIS people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge’ (Hosea 4:6). So do you know how He planned to enlighten us all…since so many previous ‘prophets’ failed miserably at doing so…(Jer. 23: Ezek. 13) ? He sent His ‘Word’ to heal us and to deliver us from all our destructions’ (Ps. 107:20). Truth be told…He clothed Himself in flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1, 14).

We read in Matt. 9:35-36 that Jesus ‘went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing EVERY sickness and EVERY disease among the people.” --You can look into His heart and how he felt about us: “When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them because they were weary (harassed and vexed] and scattered and helpless like sheep having no shepherd.”

WHY…do you think so many people were in this ‘condition’?

We are told in Luke 1:78-79 that this ‘Dayspring from on high came to visit us…to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death…to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

WHY…do you think so many people (even today) are ‘sitting in darkness’, not knowing the peace that is available to them? (2 Cor. 4:3-4; Acts 26:18; 1 John 5:19; Eph. 2:1-3). You’ll find the answer to that question in those passages I just listed…I hope you look them up, again.

That quote, by C.S. Lewis continues to grow on me, which is why I shared it in my ‘graphic image’ today as a loving reminder. You might ask yourself this question- the place where you currently attend for ‘spiritual feeding’…how often are you being reminded of this truth, and not just reminded….but ‘warned’?

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth”. (Col. 3:1-2)

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matt. 6:33)

“My kingdom is not of this world"”. – Jesus. (John 18:36)
