Enjoyed this beautiful sunset last night down on the water front. Juggling some travel time today after a lovely weekend here in Seattle with our youngest daughter and her boyfriend so I'll pick up where I left off with my daily postings here in the next day or two. Be blessed...

 It’s ‘Go Time’.   In a matter of hours, after I complete one more sweep through my campuses to pick up that last batch of school picture orders, I’m heading west. It was 35 years ago, this month, my family and I made a visit up here to Lamar County from San Antonio. We were confident that this was where we were to set down roots and raise our three daughters I will be honest with you…leaving here was never on my radar. But then…God…. The two pictures I posted here this morning are rather fitting I think; as the sun sets over our Eiffel Tower here in Paris, TX…symbolic of my departure, a new chapter…or a new day, will begin in California where we will be closer to family. Believe it or not, I’m almost at a loss for words to convey what is in my heart this morning.   10.24.21- Every story of redemption has a genesis, a beginning. As does your story. Perhaps it has yet to take place, let alone, be told. All our stories are different yet they share one remarkable trait: They are defining. How can they not be when God is the author?  Not long ago I pictured this scenario in my head of a group of notable figures I had read about in the bible sitting around a table. They were sharing their defining stories as to how their lives were forever changed by an encounter with Jesus, the Messiah. I could hear Paul talking of his journey  to Damascus. Fresh off the heels of overseeing the stoning of Stephen the martyr, he was knocked to the ground and the voice of God spoke to him from a light shining from heaven.
